Deepti Chaurasia, the 40-year-old daughter-in-law of Kamal Kishor, owner of Kamla Pasand and Rajshree Pan Masala, allegedly took her life by committing suicide at her residence in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar on Tuesday evening.
According to the police, they have found a suicide note along with a diary in which she spoke about the persistent marital discord with her husband, Harpreet Chaurasia.

Deepti’s family is filing a complaint of abetment to suicide. The deceased married Chaurasia in 2010. The couple has a 14-year-old son.

Preliminary investigation suggests that Deepti committed suicide following Harpreet’s second marriage, allegedly to a South Indian film actress.
A senior officer mentioned that the Vasant Vihar Police Station has registered a case in connection with the matter and is conducting a further probe into the matter.
Her body was reportedly found hanging from a scarf.
